The story is set in: London late 1890s – the Cut & Creates are designed for this story but can be used as you wish
Lady Annabelle wants to go to the World’s Fair in Paris - moving walkways, fashion, art, sculpture, fabulous buildings but best of all the new Eiffel Tower. Her husband, Lord James, does not want to go – he wants to buy one of the newfangled vehicles – a Daimler – & learn to drive it. They compromise by deciding they are can both have what they want & Lord James requests Belle’s brother Anthony to accompany his sister.
A Daimler VS a Trip to the Eiffel Tower
Belle will need some new dresses. She subscribes to all the fashion magazines & has been cutting pictures of day & evening dresses to take to her seamstress dressmaker. She has also been collecting scraps of her favourite colours & laces.
Next, she will have to make up her lists ‘To Do’ & also write to all her friends in Paris & in London so that they can meet up in Paris – her Correspondence list is quite large & as is her ‘To Do’ list. So much to do for a 10-day trip.
She arrives in Paris & immediately contacts her friends & arranges parties, dancing, tea afternoons, chess evenings & a boating excursion on the Seine to see the Paris Exposition from the water.
Next is the trip to the Paris Exposition – marvelous!
Now to shop – several of her ‘To Do’ list come in handy here. Belle is in her element here – she loves shopping!
She is also shopping for a painting for her newly decorated Sitting Room & has to decide from 4 beautiful florals.
Another trip to the Eiffel Tower & the Exposition, a visit to the Moulin Rouge, some more shopping & it is time to go home.
